Emilia has 8 years of professional experience and specializes in evaluating and treating children with oral-motor, feeding, speech and language disorders. She has been an adjunct professor, clinical supervisor and guest speaker for the communication disorders department at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York for the past 4 years. She has developed training programs for parents and professionals in New York and presented a course on Dyspraxia for the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Emilia earned a Masters of Science degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has professional affiliations with ASHA, the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is a teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. She has been practicing for over 25 years. She is a Level 4 TalkTools Trained therapist with expertise in Oral Placement/Feeding and Sensory Motor disorders in the pediatric population.
She has knowledge and experience with sensory processing disorders and enjoys being part of a multi disciplinary team in order to provide comprehensive treatment and care for her patients. Emilia is IAOM trained and is on the certification track.
