Hobgood, Karen

Karen is a practicing speech-language pathologist in Arkansas. She graduated in 1993 with her masters degree from Louisiana Tech University. She have worked in a pediatric outpatient/preschool setting at Easterseals Arkansas for the last 29 years. Early in her career, she developed a strong interest and love for oral motor/feeding therapy. Her journey began by taking as many continuing education classes as she possibly could. She provide feeding evaluations and treatment along trainings for our preschool staff. She have served as the speech pathologist on a High Risk Infant Monitoring Team for the last 24 years. This team (OT, PT, ST) provides developmental evaluations and home programming for infants post discharge from the NICU.

Karen who works in outpatient/preschool therapy department, has been with Easterseals Arkansas for 27 years. She has obtained more than 100 hours of continuing education in Pediatric Feeding Disorders that include evaluations and treatment strategies for sensory based and motor based feeding disorders. In addition, she has been a part of our High Risk Infant Monitoring team for the past 22 years.
