CCC-SLP, COM®, MS

Kayla is a Speech-Language Pathologist and IAOM Certified Orofacial Myologist®. She help clients across the lifespan, from infants to adults, to speak, eat, and live with optimal oral function. Her approach to therapy is integrative. She examine the way that the muscles work during speaking and eating to identify problems such as muscle imbalance, lack of strength, compensation, tethered oral tissues, and motor planning. She work with a network of providers to ensure that clients are able to achieve all of their goals both in, and out of speech therapy.

She have worked in hospitals, rehab centers, and school districts across the state of Texas. She have been in private practice, in her favorite setting, since 2011. She is licensed in the state of Texas and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Kayla founded Flower Mound Speech & Therapy Center in 2015 because she saw a need to provide in-depth, personalized services for my clients. She wanted to work on a team that believed in going beyond the one-on-one therapy session to provide for their clients with a focus on continuing education and client care.

Every therapist at FMST has experience and education that extends well beyond licensure requirements. Her team of 8 SLPs accrues hundreds of hours of continuing education annually. We have therapists that specialize in feeding therapy, myofunctional therapy, articulation, Autism, stroke rehabilitation, and early language/play skills.

She work closely with our team of therapists to ensure the needs of each family are met.
