Polychronis, Sotirios

Sotirios is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist based in Central London. He hold a BSc (HONS) in Speech and Language Therapy, an MSc degree in Neuroscience Language and Communication from University College London and is currently completing a PhD in Speech and Language Therapy and Neuroimaging.

He specialize in supporting children who present with speech and language disorders, including verbal dyspraxia, dysarthria, articulation and/or phonological difficulties, language impairment and social communication difficulties. As part of his clinical practice, he provide assessment and therapy tailored to meet his clients’ individual needs.

To provide a comprehensive approach, he collaborate with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Music Therapists, Educational Psychologists, ABA Tutors as well as teachers and parents making sure therapy is facilitated on multiple levels and settings.

He maintain a robust record of Continuous Professional Development through seminars and workshops, which include: TalkTools (Level 3), PROMPT (Level 2), Nuffield’s Dyspraxia Programme, Talking Mats (accredited trainer), Hanen (“More than words”), ADOS-2, BILD (Positive Behaviour Support Coach), ELKLAN, PECS, Makaton, Braille writing system, AAC (assessing and implementing), Gestalt language acquisition (NLA trained clinician).

He work in educational settings and in private practice.
