McElroy, Shannon

Shannon is a speech and language pathologist with 18 years of professional experience. She began her career in the school setting for 7 years in the states of Washington and Tennessee. She started home health services when she moved to Arizona and then followed in the same setting in Texas. She provided home health services in New Braunfels, Texas and surrounding areas for almost 6 years. She then joined a private practice, Crossroads Therapy Clinic, where she currently works with her sister, Renee Roy Hill, also a speech language pathologist.

Shannon specializes in assessments and providing therapy in the areas of Childhood Apraxia of Speech, feeding disorders, and motor speech disorders for children with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum, Cerebral Palsy and other neuro-muscular disorders. She also works with children with articulation disorders and language disorders. She is certified as an Orofacial Myologist.

Shannon holds a master’s degree from the University of Alabama and has received special training in speech/oral-placement/feeding therapy (Level 4 training with Talk Tools), apraxia, feedng disorders, and PROMPT training.
